Glass Laminated Marble (GLM). When certain marbles and stones, especially varieties of alabaster and onyx are veneer cut to just a few millimetres thick, they become translucent. Bonded to glass with a special uv-resistant resin, the resulting panels can be utilised in a variety of architectural applications. They are especially suitable for use as architectural cladding where they benefit from being lit naturally as well as in applications which utilise artificial lighting such as underlit bartops, decorative wall panels, tiling and flooring.
