The idFX / BIDA British Interior Design Awards 2004
Finalist: Surface innovation of the Year category sponsored by BIDA:
Tutti Frutti by Artifex London
In December 2004, Artifex London was short-listed for a
British Interior
Design Award. There were seven finalists in this category and the
award,
which went to Louise Jenkins for her engraved, decorative bricks,
"Flock
Bricks", was presented at the idFX pre-Christmas award dinner held
annually
at London's Chelsea Harbour Design Centre. The event was co-hosted by
Jasper Conran.
Gary Mason, editor of idFX wrote in the December issue of
idFX, "In the
inaugural idFX / BIDA British Design Awards, we set out to celebrate
talent
and professionalism, and the next eight pages are a testimony to some
of the
finest work in the British interior design industry from the past 12
months -
from residential to commercial, furniture to surfaces,
students just
starting
out to international stars at the top of their game. We would just like
to thank
the finalists for giving the judges such a difficult task, and to
congratulate the
winners on a hard-fought victory.
In spite of the disappointment of loosing out in the final
judging, Artifex was
congratulated for helping make the Inc Bar in Greenwich, (by celebrity
designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen), "a truly original and memorable
place
to visit".
